Alec Moody was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and grew up in Concord, Massachusetts. He dropped out of high school at sixteen to pursue a career as a video game artist. Originally drawn to the Savannah College of Art and Design to refine 3-D and computer art skills, he switched his major to photography as a sophomore. His fine art work explores the relationship between the historical and the contemporary in both subject matter and technique.
