A graphic designer and fine artist, Alexis Horlbeck Sullivan attended the Atlanta College of Art and graduated with a B.F.A. in communication design. (The Atlanta College of Art later merged with the Savannah College of Art and Design.) In 2004, she started her own design company, Base A Design, which specializes in brand development, advertising, print collateral, environmental and interactive design. Her lifelong love and passion for art shows in all that she creates with her distinctive style. She is published in design trade publications including How Magazine, Graphis and Print. She lives in Atlanta with her husband, Trey, daughter, Chloe, and their cat, Kosmo. The Lexie Sullivan line of modern stationery is born out of her passion for design and to share this passion with others. The Lexie in Lexie Sullivan is a childhood name and connotes the essence of feeling playful, carefree and open. She creates her products with these same inner feelings to bring joy and inspiration to others. Her inspiration comes from life experiences, pop culture, abstract expressionism and organic forms in nature. Sullivan’s designs are simple, modern and vibrant. She still believes in the personal touch of handwriting a note and the joy it creates when someone opens the envelope.
