As I grew up, all I remember thinking was, “I wanna be an artist like my mawmaw”. Whether it was drawing on the walls or my brother’s face, I always had something in my hand to draw with. Through the years, I slowly shifted from drawing to making jewelry out of found objects. As of today, I am studying at Savannah College of Art and Design, perusing the dream that my grandmother and I both shared. Although she was a painter and I am studying to be a jeweler, I am following in her footsteps that she would have loved to see me walk in. My favorite medium to work with is unusual and unique. I work with bullets. I live off of the adrenaline that pumps through my veins when I am disarming a live bullet. I love challenges and one day I hope to open my own shop.
