Chelsea is from Raleigh, North Caroline. She received her BFA from SCAD in Fibers in 2010. Her portfolio focuses on hand embroidery, and all her jewelry is created using a needle and thread, using a few simple techniques to create unique and complex textures with threads, beads, and stones. She is inspired by the materials she works with, as well as both the natural and manmade world around her. The themes of duality are explored frequently within her work, where two opposing ideas and forms can coexist in an aesthetic harmony.
