David Marcet was born and raised in the Chicago-land area. He graduated from Benet Academy High School in 1992, and went on to attend Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. There he studied painting under Jules Kirschenbaum, with addional concentrations on literature and theater. While at Drake he also lettered in football and track and field.  rnAfter a six year reprieve, Marcet returned to academia, and in 2005 earned his Master of Fine Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design in painting.rnPresently, he lives and works in a Chicago suburb where he and his wife a raising their exuberant son, Brody.
