“I strive to contribute a very personal sense of my self to everything I create. Many of my pieces encompass found objects and vintage memorabilia that I have consistently collected throughout my life. The history of each component is a mystery to me; but knowing that there IS a history, and that these small parts were held and considered by generations past, gives significance and wonder to each and every finding that I include.  Thus, a new medley of different discoveries from different places and years is how my end products can be described. Subsequently, I hope to rekindle life into these disposed and forgotten elements when the function of self-adornment can capture a sentimental relationship between the wearer and the jewelry."rn—Ivy Maddix
