Jean Mason (M.F.A. student, fibers)
Jean is currently getting her M.F.A. from Savannah College of Art and Design and received her in B.A. in Art History and Studio Art from Dartmouth College. Her studio practice has followed her from New Hampshire to New Delhi to New York and the material and visual cultures of these vibrant places have inspired much of her work.
Her textile design experience includes sustainability and print design work for Eileen Fisher, the microbatch studio of Rebecca Atwood, and the startup fashion label Ohlin/D. Her fine art has appeared in Savannah GA in the shows Objectscape (Non-Fiction Gallery: 2017), Cross-Pollination (Gutstein Gallery: 2016) and Nepantla (Welmont Gallery: 2016), in New York City in No Rush No Dawdle (Lower East Side Printshop: 2015), and in Murray KY at the Spotlight on Student Fiber Trends show (2016).
