Jesse Conn’s early experience with jewelry began while attending high school in Vermont where she grew up. Jesse has lived in Seattle and Savannah, Ga., where she received a B.F.A. in metals and jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduating from SCAD, Conn moved to New York to work with established studio jeweler Reiko Ishiyama.The two years with Ishiyama gave her an immense appreciation for working with metal. In 2004, she set up her own studio in Brooklyn where she continues to create her unique designs that are sold in several fine boutiques across the country. ShopSCAD is proud to offer Conn’s Hoop line, her first collection of wearable jewelry. Created with the basic rules of design, she considers repetition, balance and proportion when making each piece. Working primarily with sterling silver and gold, Conn uses texture to express the simple elegance of the metals. Each piece is delicately hammered offering a refreshing element that reflects light and imbues each piece with a hand crafted imprint. The artist resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
