Katie Wall’s love of color and light shine through in her decadent oil paintings. “A painter’s painter,” her brush strokes weave layers of color into each other, creating works that radiate a delight in both art and life. After growing up in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, Wall attended Washington and Lee University where she graduated with a double major in art and biology. Her post-graduate life has taken her out to the Wild West and then back to the Deep South where she is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in painting at Savannah College of Art and Design. Her paintings are inspired by a desire to preserve both memories and moments of beauty. The 2009 launch of Katie’s business, her Wall Art, is bringing new challenges and inspirations to this artist.
