Kirsten Sparenborg settled in Savannah in 2003 to draw. With a degree in architecture and a love of old buildings and places honed in the small towns and old cities of Virginia and abroad, she saw in Savannah a quintessential real working urban model for making drawings about compelling places framed by historic architecture. She works as a designer in a small architecture and urban design firm where she has an opportunity to learn about Savannah’s history, renowned urban plan and diverse building stock and to be involved with the Savannah College of Art and Design in unique ways.
