Liaung Chung Yen graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, (SCAD) in 2001 with an M.F.A. in metals and jewelry. He received a fellowship from New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in 2005, Finalist in NICHE Awards and 2nd place in MJSA Vision award in Natural Colour Diamond Category in 2007. He is featured in the Metalsmith magazine Exhibition in Print 2007, 1000 Rings, 500 Brooches, and 500 Earrings. He has participated in a number of exhibitions, including The International Expositions of Sculpture Objects and Functional Art (SOFA).
