Monica Cook is one of SCAD’s most sought after artists. Her work has been collected by numerous individuals and institutions, as well as featured in national exhibitions including Art Link, International Auctions 2002 (Sotheby’s: New York, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam) and New American Paintings, Number 58 (Vol.10, Number 3). In 2004, Cook was chosen to participate in the Studio Residency Program at the School of Visual Arts-NY. Originally from Dalton, Ga., Cook now lives and paints in Brooklyn, NY.rnrn"My new body of work is a continuation of an eight-year exploration of self-portraiture through painting and mixed media.
