Nathan Abels is from Fort Wayne, Ind. He attended the University of St. Francis where he earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art with a focus on painting and drawing. During the course of his undergraduate studies, Abels exhibited his works in several local and regional shows. Nathan then progressed to Savannah, Ga. to earn his Master of Fine Art’s degree in painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He is now in Denver, Colo., where he is doing aerial photography and continuing to exhibit his art extensively.rnAble’s artwork is influenced by his sense of place, personal geographic transitions, and the organization of both public and private space. His subjects are empathetic reminders that isolation is a substantial human experience and that content lies in places we typically overlook.
