Sarah Lewis is a jewelry and accessories designer from upstate New York. She has been making jewelry for as long as she can remember, first working with borosilicate glass, and later discovering her love for silver and stones while living in Arizona. She earned her BFA in metals and jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008, and then moved to Philadelphia to work as an accessories designer. In 2010, she started her own jewelry and accessories brand. rnrnSarah’s work is often described as fashionable and refined, as well as funky and bohemian. Most of Sarah’s work is based on the materials that she uses and many of her jewelry styles consist of simple settings that showcase a beautiful crystal or stone. Accessory designs are often based on a fabric, embellishment, or trim that she finds. This keeps Sarah always on the hunt for new materials to work with, and much of her design concepts come to her by discovering materials in her travels. She keeps her studio filled with crystals, gemstones, beads, chains, fabrics and trims, and a lot of her design work is all about finding ways to combine the materials that she collects. Sarah enjoys the preciousness and functionality of jewelry and accessories, and the ways that they interact with the body. For every piece Sarah creates, she loves to think about the girl who will wear it, and what it will mean to her. She draws inspiration from nature, travel, fashion, and music, and she is grateful to be able to do what she loves everyday!
