Wynne Hodges received her B.F.A. in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design,rnand her M.F.A. in painting from Radford University. She followed up with blacksmith training at John C. Campbell Folk School, in pursuit of learning a variety of artistic media. She began forging iron and old architectural elements into artistic creations mimicking the organic shapes of nature, which manifest into iron chandeliers with hand crafted candle cups. rnHodges has continued exploring a wide variety of media including painting, fibers, ceramics and functional pieces often forged with fire. Her work has been selected for both national and international exhibitions and is owned by collectors and institutions such as Jane Fonda and Gulfstream. She teaches at the Savannah College of Art and Design and maintains a studio in the country where she and her husband home school their four children.
